I sincerely apologize for the lack of updates but our computers are down.  I'm actually in the public library right now.  We have a show on the Wednesday the Third.  I know, i know...a wednesday night during school, but think about it.  It's only 6 until 9:30 and TTJ will be opening.  We are in the process of writing several songs and these will be available on the new TTJ full-length album planned for december or january.  Keep checking up on us

Sorry if i scared anyone, but i'm fine.  The show was good.  The Holiday was great and they're from Chicago so i wanna thank them for playing.  Steverman did a great job filling in for me so i wanna thank him especially.  There is  a show on August 6, but we're hoping to have a few before then.  We are continuing to write music so you guys should check out our next shows for a look at new music from Taunt the Jester.  See you there.

July 15, 2003

We have a show on very soon on July 16.  The show is in Cumberland, RI, doors open at 5:30 and it 6 bucks.  Today our bassist Bill was taken to the hospital in an emergency.  We all hope he will be alright and back on his feet.  However, we believe that Bill would still want us to play with or without him so we have asked our good friend Steverman (from Hideaway) to play as our bassist.  Best wishes for Bill and also we hope you come to the show.  See ya lata.

Well its certaintly been a while since updating sorry about that. The show at Montrosse was cool.  We rocked out with Hideaway and it was a fun night. Thanks to Joe and Brie for getting the show and Justin for taping. Also thanks to Jess and Jimmy for taking pics. We are recording tommorow and this is legite. Its at Gaillee Productions, the same studio as Damaged Goods and 3fs recorded at and Pointing North. We're going to record our new song too.  Some of you guys got a taste of it already and it's unofficially titled, The Girl from Fairhaven.  Also we got a bunch of upcoming shows: this upcoming Wednesday June 25th, with Hideaway, The Cadence, The Ames Curve, and The Receiving End of Sirens (TREOS).  That should be fun at the drop zone check the shows section for more dates. And the demo should be out soon if not this show the battle of the bands. Cya.

Much more stuff happening nowadays.  Sorry, but the show on the 30th has been cancelled due to poor planning, but we've added a show on Saturday the 5th of July.  It will be an all day show with a TON of other great bands.  You owe it to your friggin' self to get down to North Attleboro and see it.  Also, we've added a link to MA ROCK to the links pages.  This is a site about the local bands around here.  It's a nice site.  Also, if you wanna go to the show on the 6th, make sure you contact us, cuz there are very few spots left.  The demo will be recorded early June, and i also heard a rumor of a new zine spreading around.  Keep checking back.  Later!

Shows!! Shows!! and More Shows!! We got some dates for ya. Cuz we've been trying to get our sound out in a few more times before we record. May 30 is a show that we find out today if it is definite. But it is at Foxboro Knights of Columbus and is with Times a Day, Pointing North, The Cadence, and 3FS. So it definatley should be a good time. More details such as time and the price will be announced as soon as found. Our second date is the following week June 6 in Natick. I don't know to much about this show but so far I know that Hideaway should be playing along with Take 38 and others. Its for a fundraiser with a Catholic ALL GIRLS PRIVATE SCHOOL so if you wanna come we need to have a list of names before you get in so either email us or IM me at MAHADFIELD123 cuz I need to have this limited number of names that are coming before the show. So information in that show also we be posted as soon as discovered.  A third date is July 3 at the Drop Zone in Cumberland. This is a battle of the bands and its cool because we got asked to play it at our last show because we played well. I realize that all these dates don't have much information with them, but as they come closer we will post directions ect. As for recording we are hoping to record with Pointing North in early June. We have begun our next song and that should be on the demo. That song should make the demo a 6 track.  With all of the tracks the production will be expensive and since we rarely get paid for shows we hope that you guys can buy a lot of the pins, stickers, and patches to help support the demo. I got to go now because I got to get back to class because the lady in the media center is looking at me funny.

To whom ever this may concern, we are planning to record soon.  I know we always say we're gonna record but this time I think we are serious.  Our demo will hopefully have 4 or 5 tracks.  Should be good.  More info lata.

Great show for all those who attended.  Sorry about the scheduling changes and the misdivision of playing time.  New links have been added to the LINKS page.  Because some of you were impressed with us (YAY), we've been asked to do a battle of the bands over the summer.  More details will follow.  Also, we should be recording before our next show.  And our next show should be scheduled soon.  Thank you and take care.

April 19, 2003

Important News:  The Cadence is filling in for ANB.  Come see the show.  Also the directions have been altered.  You should be able to get there with the old directions, but these are more specific.

April 18, 2003

Dear readers...(hehe)...There have been some scheduling differences regarding the show on Wednesday.  ANB will not be playing.  I'm sorry, but mainly because i wanted to see them again.  Also, Leah Stargazing will be performing before Taunt the Jester.  Therefore, the order goes:  Mile Six, Takes the Cake, Leah Stargazing, Taunt the Jester, Pointing North, and finally 34 Spoons.  The directions to the DropZone are posted on the shows page.  It isn't hard to get to AT ALL.  Come and see us please.  If anyone wants to take pictures, you are encouraged to do so and please send them to me (SavageBK@hotmail.com).  Thank you.

April 11, 2003

Sorry for being late, but Ryan said he'd update but didn't so anyways.  If you missed the show tonight in Wellesley, you really missed a great performance.  Another Hero and Red Before Dawn are two bands you REALLY should check out.  There is a show planned over April vacation on Wednesday.  OVER VACATION.  GO TO IT!!!  Wednesday April 23, 2003 that is.  We're playing with ANB, 3FS, Leah Stargazing (who rock), Pointing North, Mile 6, and Takes the Cake.  It's at the Drop Zone and once directions are discovered, they will be posted.  We've got a new song we're gonna play there called COUNTLESS TIMES.  It's good.  Also, i got a haircut, so look out for that.  That's bout it.  Cya.

March 4, 2003

Not too, too much new stuff.  I finally put up pictures from the Worcester Palladium show, and the Battle of the Bands is currently being scheduled for late April.  Also, a band by the name of Another Hero is throwing a reunion concert.  On April 11th, 2003, make your way down to the Wesselley High School at six to see this TOTALLY AWESOME band play once again!!

February 28, 2003

Well the Battle of the Bands at King Philip has been postponed til April due to, I believe, a fire code situation.  Therefore I, Ross Helliwell, probably will no longer be needed to sub as the bassist in the band Hideaway. Also Andrew Steverman may also no longer be needed as the substitute for our drummer.  We will see what the future hold.  Just thought I'd state that.  Bye.

February 16, 2003

Picture page is updated...click to enlarge!!!!! More to come because this feature is really cool!  Also, check out our own Ross Helliwell playing for Hideaway at battle of the bands.  Thats about it.  Cya!

February 10, 2003

Taunt the Jester has found its new drummer.  The search was short, but fruitful as a new talent was discovered for our new member.  My good friend, James Hochella, formerly from the band Ancient 401, is the permanent TTJ drummer.  We have starting training him on our old songs and are already underway on two new songs.  He will be playing every future show, excluding the Battle of the Bands on the seventh.  We look forward to recording with James and also look forwarding to a new and much better sounding live show.

February 7, 2003

As i'm sure some of you already know, Rob Tangstrom is no longer a part of the Taunt the Jester band.  We attempt to continue our friendship together and hope that all parties will act reasonable.  As a result, we are cancelling the shows at the Parish Hall and the Tri-County Battle of the Bands.  However, we will still be playing the King Philip Battle of the Bands.  Our good friend, Andrew Steverman, will fill in the drumming slot for this show, but no other.  Our search for a drumming talent is drawing to a close and we will keep you updated on that.  See you at the Battle of the Bands!

     ~Taunt the Jester.

January 29, 2003

January 15, 2003

Finally updating the site.  Recording is strenuous, stressful and ridiculously complicated.  Sorry, but no cd for a few weeks anyway.  We said no shows until we had a cd, but we love playing.  Two dates for now.  More to come.  Keep checking up on us, and we'll check up on you.  Also, Ryan got a new guitar, so now we have cool stuff.  Cya.
